Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 30, 2026

1. Introduction

Techtropic Inc. respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you interact with us through our website, email, SMS communications, our Scheduler++ software, and our technology and IT services (together, the “Services”).

Techtropic Inc. is an Ontario corporation located at 1029 Roselawn Avenue, York, Ontario M6B 4N1, Canada. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Contact Information: Name, phone number, email address, company name, and mailing address.
  • Business Information: Information related to your company, service requests, and communications with us.
  • Account Information: Credentials and profile details for Scheduler++ users, including name, email address, and role or permission settings.
  • Customer Data in Scheduler++: Data you and your users enter into or generate in the software — customers, quotes, drawings, workorders, schedules, inventory and slab records, purchase orders, and attachments. This may include personal information about your own customers and employees. You control this data; we process it on your behalf.
  • Technical Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, application version, error and diagnostic reports, and general website and application usage data.
  • Communications: Any messages you send us via email, SMS, chat, or other channels.
  • Information from integrations you enable: See Sections 5 and 6.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • To provide, operate, maintain, and secure our software and services.
  • To authenticate users and manage accounts and permissions.
  • To provide IT services, technical support, implementation, and training.
  • To process orders, billing, and payments.
  • To communicate with you regarding service requests, appointments, updates, and general business communications.
  • To diagnose problems and improve the reliability and functionality of our software.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your information for marketing without your consent. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use Customer Data, Google or Microsoft user data, or QuickBooks data to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With Service Providers: Trusted third parties who help us operate our business (e.g., cloud hosting, communications, billing).
  • With Integrations You Enable: Third-party services you connect to Scheduler++, as described in Sections 5 and 6.
  • For Legal Reasons: When required by law, regulation, or court order.
  • With Consent: If you explicitly authorize us to share your information.

5. Sign in with Google or Microsoft

Scheduler++ offers Sign in with Google and Sign in with Microsoft as optional authentication methods.

Sign in with Google

What we access. When you sign in with Google, we request only basic, non-sensitive scopes (openid, email, profile). From these we receive your name, email address, Google account identifier, and profile picture where available.

How we use it. Solely to authenticate you, establish or link your Scheduler++ user account, identify you within your organization’s instance, and contact you about your account where necessary.

What we do not do. We do not use Google user data for advertising or marketing; we do not sell or rent it; we do not use it for credit or lending decisions; and we do not use it to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

Limited Use. Techtropic’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and revoking access. Google account identifiers and profile data are stored only as part of your Scheduler++ user record and retained while your account is active. You may disconnect Google sign-in at any time via your Google Account permissions or by contacting us. Revoking access may prevent you from signing in via Google but does not by itself delete your Scheduler++ account.

Sign in with Microsoft

When you sign in with Microsoft, we receive basic profile information from your Microsoft account (your name, email address, and account identifier) and use it only to authenticate you and link your Scheduler++ account. We do not request access to your mail, calendar, files, or other Microsoft 365 data. You can remove Scheduler++’s access at any time from your Microsoft account’s app permissions, or through your organization’s administrator.

Scope changes

We do not currently request access to Google Drive, Google Calendar, Gmail, or Microsoft 365 mail, calendar, or files. If we add such access in future, it will be optional, we will update this policy first, and we will ask for your consent before accessing that data.

6. QuickBooks Online (Intuit) Integration

Where you choose to connect Scheduler++ to your QuickBooks Online account, we access your QuickBooks data solely to synchronize the accounting records you have asked us to synchronize:

  • Customer list (read) — to match Scheduler++ customers to existing QuickBooks customers so records are not duplicated.
  • Customers (write) — to create customer records you originate in Scheduler++.
  • Estimates (write) — to push quotes created in Scheduler++.
  • Invoices (write) — to create invoices from completed work.
  • Purchase orders (write) — to push purchase orders raised for inventory.
  • Invoice payment status (read) — to show whether an invoice has been paid.

We access nothing beyond the above. We do not access your chart of accounts, payroll, banking, or tax records, and we do not use QuickBooks data for any purpose other than providing the integration you enabled. We do not sell, rent, or share QuickBooks data with third parties, use it for advertising, or use it to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

Revoking access. You may disconnect the integration at any time from within Scheduler++ or from your Intuit account settings. On disconnection we stop accessing your QuickBooks data; records already synchronized into either system remain there.

7. Data Security and Hosting

We take reasonable physical, technical, and administrative measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, including access controls, encryption in transit, and restricted internal access on a need-to-know basis.

Cloud deployments. Where Techtropic hosts your Scheduler++ instance, data is stored on infrastructure we manage, and may be processed or stored in Canada or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

On-premises deployments. Where Scheduler++ is installed on infrastructure you control, your Customer Data resides on systems you control. In that case we do not host, store, or have routine access to your Customer Data, and you are responsible for its security and backup. We access such systems only with your authorization, for support purposes.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide our services, fulfill business or legal requirements, or as otherwise required by law. Account data is retained while your subscription is active. For cloud deployments, Customer Data is retained during your subscription; following termination you may request an export within 30 days, after which it may be deleted. Google, Microsoft, and QuickBooks data is deleted or de-identified when the integration is disconnected or your account is closed, subject to legal retention requirements.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your information (subject to legal obligations).
  • Withdraw consent to communications at any time (for SMS, reply STOP; for email, use unsubscribe links or contact us directly).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

Where we process Customer Data on your behalf, requests from your own customers or employees should be directed to you as the controlling organization; we will assist you in responding.

10. SMS and Electronic Communications

If you communicate with us by SMS:

  • Message frequency may vary based on business needs.
  • Standard message and data rates may apply.
  • You may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
  • For help, reply HELP or contact us directly.
  • No mobile opt-in will be shared with third parties for marketing purposes

Additional terms governing our text messaging service are set out in our SMS Terms of Use and SMS Terms & Conditions.

11. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses only essential and functional cookies required to operate the site, maintain security, and remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics tracking on our website. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect site functionality.

12. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are business tools and are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at https://www.techtropic.ca/privacy-policy/. Material changes affecting how we handle your personal information will be communicated to you directly where practicable.
