Techtropic is a Toronto-area technology solutions provider for small and medium businesses. We build our own software, Scheduler++, alongside the IT services that keep our clients running.
From the shop floor to software
Techtropic’s roots are in a working granite shop. Marc Micalizzi’s family opened Select Granite Tops in 2006, and Marc handled the shop’s technology — while also running machines and quoting jobs. He has been supporting the technology of local businesses since 2007, started Techtropic in 2018, and incorporated as Techtropic Inc. in 2024.
Along the way, the shop needed software that understood how fabrication actually works. Rather than bend the shop around generic tools, Marc built software around the shop. That project grew into Scheduler++, now our flagship product — and the reason we say the best technology comes from understanding the work first.
2006
The family granite shop opens. Marc runs its technology from day one.
2007
Supporting the technology of other local businesses begins.
2018
Marc founds Techtropic as a sole proprietorship.
2024
Incorporated as Techtropic Inc. in Ontario.
